They are well known for almost driving the Hylotl race to extinction. Their technological level was originally very low, until a crashed Avian ship was reverse-engineered, letting their violence spread to the stars. After you'll pick the Floran Artifact, and you and Nuru will return to The Outpost, where you speak to Esther like usual to finish the quest.Florans are a race of plant people. Nuru will even help you fight this boss, and I found it very easy. The Caverns is another pretty simple to navigate story dungeon, where you'll find the Ixodom boss at the end. Though the wiki does list this dungeon as Tier 3. But I'm sure you could go in with lesser if you are feeling bold, or even come back with later Tier equipment to make it even easier. I went into with Tier 3 Titanium armor and equipment. Scanning specific racial items, and then going to a story dungeon to find their Artifacts. This where you'll find Nuru.Īll 4 subsequent main missions will follow like this. You'll again find this mission from your ship's AI. On the plus side, if you've already found and "borrowed" some of these objects, you can simple place them down from where you've stored them, and scan them that way.Īfter scanning enough Floran objects, Esther will ask you to return to her, where she'll give you the coordinates for the Ceremonial Hunting Caverns to find the Floran Artifact. You'll know you've found an object if it's glowing green before you scan it. These places seem to show up more often on Forest Planets, but they can appear on other types as well. You can find these in Floran villages, and Floran based dungeons. Then you'll be sent out into the galaxy to scan specific Floran objects. This doesn't include blocks, as they aren't really scannable. You'll want to be scanning everything you can, as once you get to Tier 4 Durasteel, you'll be able to build the Pixel Printer, which allows you to spend Pixels to create almost everything in the game that you can scan. When returning to Esther after fixing your ship, she'll give you an upgrade to your scanner(The N key by default)and have you go scan around The Outpost to learn more about it.
This will be your next main mission after repairing your ship, so this is unmissable.
